Last Week’s Wrap Up

Under 10

A challenging first game in 30° heat for the under 10 development team on Wednesday night. This was the first time many of the boys had fielded, bowled or batted in an actual game. The boys looked like they enjoyed themselves in the field despite the heat with Locho taking the first wicket, Darcy taking a great catch & Charlie doing a great job behind the stumps. For many of the boys this was the first timing batting with all the gear on but everyone gave it a go & made a few runs. This was a great first game by all the boys & we are looking forward to the rest of the season! Thank you to all the helpers who organised the team & scored for us.

Under 12 White

The boys lost a few early wickets unfortunately but to their credit they came back strongly and batted the full 20 overs! It showed a lot as they batted with lots of endeavour. Darcy and Tyler both batting well having retired. The boys fielding was on the improve as they took a few wickets and catches with Spencer and Marcus doing a great job behind the Stumps so far! All the boys seem to be having fun so we are looking forward to an enjoyable season ahead!

Under 12 Green

The boys have been training well and had a win over Riverside. It was a great overall team performance! Some highlights were Tom, Rohan 18 and Wes all not and some strong bowling from Tom , Wes , Baxter and Theo.

The team was much improved this week with everyone having pretty good game ,so the team is on the up and looking to improve each week, well done boro!!!

could all under 10 and 12’s please bring you playing tops to training so the numbers can be attached? under 16 – no training on Tuesday the 2nd as it’s Melbourne Cup Day Club News

Trivia Night – The GCC Trivia night is one of our main fundraisers for the season. It would be wonderful to see as many junior parents there as possible so get together and book a table to enjoy a fun night out.
